iCare today announced that new business owners in NSW will benefit from a simplified multi-channel platform, for the first time enabling new businesses to get a quote and buy a workers insurance policy with iCare directly.

iCare Group Executive Workers Insurance, John Nagle, said the new offering will improve the customer experience by making it easier and faster for new businesses to arrange their workers insurance anywhere, any time.

“Since iCare formed, we have put the customer at the centre of everything we do. Our direct offering for new businesses is a milestone in that continuing endeavor,” Mr Nagle said.

“All new businesses will now get a quote and buy a new policy directly from iCare rather than a scheme agent, which is the first step in our goal to create a simple multi-channel way of setting up a workers insurance policy.

“We understand the complexities of setting up a new business and have taken the opportunity to simplify the insurance quotation and purchasing process.

“From today, more than 100 new NSW business-owners a day will take out a workers insurance policy with icare to keep their workers safe, and help staff return to work after an injury.

“iCare's exciting new self-service portal lets businesses set up their own policy and pay their premium online. Later this year our portal will offer more sophisticated functionality, like the ability for businesses to gain insight into their performance and the support they need to achieve a genuinely safer workplace.

“We also offer businesses who’d like to talk to a person about their insurance needs flexibility of choice through access to our phone-based Customer Support Centre,” Mr Nagle said.

“iCare continues to invest in new technology platforms and the new self-service platform is based on Guidewire and Salesforce systems,” Mr Nagle said.

iCare multi-channel tools for new businesses buying workers insurance include:

Direct access to buy a new policy
Direct access to iCare Customer Support Centre for all quotation and policy needs
Direct access to iCare Specialist Underwriting team to discuss premiums or tailor an insurance package
Later this year, ability to manage a policy online via access to your claims & policy data.

The iCare Insurance Specialist Team on 13 55 22 is available to discuss premiums and injury
prevention strategies.

Customers can call the Customer Support Centre on 13 44 22, to talk directly to a customer-service representative about their new policy.
